Privacy policy

What this site collects, where it goes, how long it stays, and how to see, fix or delete it. In plain words. Last updated 27 September 2026.

01 / Your details

Who we are

Opsider Systems builds Opsider, one system for fresh food wholesalers and butchers in Australia. In this policy “we” means Opsider Systems. One address handles every privacy question: info@opsider.com.au.

The short version

  • We hold only the personal details you send us: what you type into the booking form, and what you email us, including any order you forward for the Messy Order Test.
  • This site sets no cookies, runs no ad trackers and loads nothing from anybody else’s server, which is why there is no consent banner to click away.
  • We never sell your details or hand them to anyone for their own marketing.
  • Ask to see, fix or delete what we hold, and we do it.

What the booking form collects, and why

When you book a demo or send a request on the contact page, we collect:

  • Your name and your business name, so we know who we are meeting.
  • Your email address, so we can confirm the time and send the video link.
  • A phone number, only if you give one, in case you would rather talk by phone.
  • What you sell, so we can pick examples like yours from our demo account.
  • The time you picked, or the time you typed under “When suits you?”
  • Your note, if you add one.
  • Your time zone as your browser reports it, so the times on the page and in our emails are in your time. If your browser does not say, we use the time zone our host works out from your connection.

The form also carries four things you do not see:

  • A sealed stamp that shows the booking page was really loaded. It holds only the time it was issued, the time the form was first opened and a random number, and it works for one booking only: once it is used, the database keeps that random number with the booking reference until the stamp runs out, no more than 12 hours after it was issued.
  • A random reference that stops a double click from booking twice.
  • A word that says which part of the form you used: a time you picked, a time sent as a request, or a time you typed.
  • An empty field that only spam robots fill in.

Keeping spam out

To stop anyone flooding the calendar, we count how often a connection uses the form. We never store your internet address itself: it is turned into a scrambled code using a secret key, and the counts kept under that code delete themselves after an hour and after two days. Your email address gets the same treatment so that no one can hold more than two demos at once. That count starts the first time you book online and deletes itself a day later or, once a booking is confirmed, an hour after your later demo starts, whichever is later. Demos can be booked up to 60 days ahead, so it never lasts much more than two months.

Where your details go

Your details pass through four places, each with one job:

  • Vercel hosts this site and runs the booking form in its Sydney region. Like any web host, it handles your connection, including your internet address, while it serves the page. Our booking code logs only the outcome and a booking reference, never your name, email, phone number or note.
  • Resend delivers your booking to our inbox as an email, and, once we switch it on, sends your confirmation email. Resend is based in the United States, so the details in that email pass through there. It keeps a copy of each email it sends for a limited time: up to 30 days on its free plan.
  • Upstash runs a small database in its Sydney region that holds each booked time with its booking reference, your business name and what you sell, so no one else can take that time. It holds no names, email addresses or phone numbers. Each entry deletes itself two days after the demo. The scrambled spam counts and the random numbers from used stamps live there too.
  • Our inbox, info@opsider.com.au, hosted by Zoho Mail, is where the booking email lands and where we reply from.

Sometimes the form offers to go by email instead. The Email my details button sends nothing through this site: it opens your own mail app with your details written out, and that email goes from you straight to our inbox.

Orders you forward for the Messy Order Test

The Messy Order Test asks you to email us a real order, and a real order usually carries details about your own customers: a name, a phone number, an email or a delivery address, and in a voicemail, a voice. Before you forward one, take out anything you would rather we did not see. The order still works without it.

We use what you forward for one thing: to reply with the screen that order became. We never contact the people named in it, never add them to anything, and never use the order for anything else. It lands in our inbox at Zoho Mail like any other email, and we delete it, our reply and anything we made from it within 30 days of replying, or sooner if you ask.

Page views

We count visits with Vercel Web Analytics: which pages were viewed, where visitors came from, and their country, browser, operating system and type of device. It sets no cookies, does not follow you to other sites, and gives us totals rather than a record of you. Its script is served from this site’s own address.

What stays on your device

Two small notes, and only if you use the control each one belongs to. Both sit in your browser’s own storage on your device, never reach us, and go when you clear this site’s data in your browser.

  • opsider-topbar: if you close the announcement bar at the top of the page, your browser remembers that, so the bar stays closed.
  • opsider-motion: if you press the round button in the menu bar that pauses or plays the moving parts of the site, your browser remembers your choice, so the next page opens the same way.

The booking form stores nothing on your device.

How long we keep it

  • Booked times in the Upstash database: deleted automatically two days after the demo.
  • Random numbers from used form stamps in the Upstash database: deleted automatically no more than 12 hours after the stamp was issued.
  • Spam counts: the counts for your connection are deleted automatically after an hour and after two days; the count for your email address a day after it starts, or an hour after your later demo starts if that is later, as described above.
  • Copies of emails at Resend: up to 30 days on its free plan.
  • Booking emails in our inbox: they stay until we delete them, and we delete them whenever you ask.
  • Orders forwarded for the Messy Order Test: deleted, with our reply and anything we made from them, within 30 days of our reply, or sooner if you ask.
  • Our booking code’s own logs: kept by Vercel for a short time, and they never contain your details.

What we never do

We never sell your details, rent them out, or hand them to a third party for their own marketing. You are not added to a mailing list or a sequence you did not ask for. A booking is a booking: we use what you send to reply, to line up a time and to pick examples like yours for the twenty minutes. Everything you see in a demo runs on our own demo account, never on anyone else’s real data.

Seeing, fixing or deleting your details

Email info@opsider.com.au. Ask what we hold about you and we tell you. Ask us to correct it and we fix it. Ask us to delete it and we delete it from our inbox and from the booking database, then write back to say it is done. Copies at Resend expire on their own. A person reads every email and replies within one business day.

Changes and questions

If what this site collects changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. Questions or complaints go to info@opsider.com.au and we will sort them out. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
